the second turning point and drive back in the oposite direction. Turn right,

- Marbella: Famous by the jet-set. Its origin is in the Carthaginian settlement. Roman ruins, the Mezquita, la Plaza de los Naranjos, Muralla del Castillo Musulmán, etc.
- Puerto Banús: (8 km east) Shops, yachts, luxury restaurants, nightlife, cinemas, casino.
- San Pedro de Alcántara: There is the most important Roman ruins of the Costa del Sol.
- Estepona: (5 Km west). Its origin is in the Phoenician, Roman and Arab settlements. Fantastic beach and promenade, chiringuitos, Andalusian atmosphere, old city center, fisherman's harbor, yacht club. Street market on weekends at the yacht harbor and Wednesdays out of town.
- Benahavís: (8 Km northeast). Charming village. The Montemayor Castle, Desfiladero spot, Charco de las Mozas.
- Ronda: (55 Km north). Village in the Serranía, with the famous “Tajo” (precipice) and a total Andalusian environment. Ruins of Arab baths, the Acinipo ruins, Puente Nuevo, El Tajo, the oldest bullfight arena in Spain and a big legacy of churches from the XV-XVI centuries. Typical table linen handmade.
- Setenil de las Bodegas: Already in the province of Cádiz, you get there if you continue north leaving Ronda. Village famous for its dwellings built into rock overhangs above the Rio Trejo
- Tarifa: (70 km west). The best wind & kitesurfing in the world in the virgin beaches of Bolonia (with Roman ruins) and Porro. Other beaches: Zahara de los Atunes, Conil and Caños de Meca. The old city center is very nice and typical.
- Málaga: (70 km east). Old city, Alcazaba (citadel), Picasso museum. Popular festival in August.
- Granada: (150 km northeast). La Alhambra, Albaycín, Sacromonte. World Heritage.
- Sevilla: (230 km northeast): World Heritage. The Easter or Holy Week and the Feria de Abril.
- Other places: Antequera, Córdoba, Gibraltar, Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera, Casares, Manilva, Mijas, El Rincón de la Victoria, Nerja, Sierra Nevada, Las Alpujarras, La Axarquía…
